The Cool Well Press Family

We realize the importance of knowing the people you're doing business with. That said, we have provided the following bios of our staff. We hope you enjoy getting to know us as much as we've enjoyed getting to know you.

Beth Ann Ryden - Publisher

Beth Ann RydenI collect words. I love words – written, spoken, sung – it doesn’t matter. My book collection ranges in everything from YA to paranormal to non-fiction. I have about 1,500 e-books and carry around 100 in my Kindle at any one time. What a marvel the Kindle is.

Everything about the paranormal interests me, and it’s not just the paranormal – it’s all the What Ifs in the world. I like the possibility that there are alternate realities, places where the laws of physics don’t work the same as in our universe, that man will overcome cosmic rays and the speed of light so we can visit other parts of our universe and even other galaxies, that immortals walk among us, that aliens have visited us (although I doubt they’d spend time mutilating cattle or working out intricate circles in wheat fields), and that there is a future for our race – if we ever get past the wars, famine, and other purely human foibles we’ve certainly grown to know but not love.

The only disappointment in life is that trolls don’t stroll down the streets hauling wagons of coal, that dead people don’t rise from the grave and proceed to terrorize villages, and that wolves are simply that – wolves, and nothing more.

Cool Well Press is the fulfillment of a dream I’ve had for many years. Children’s and young adult fiction has always been an integral part of my reading. It is exciting to watch imagination take off and see the excitement in someone’s eyes as he or she describes a book they are reading. I know Cool Well Press will continue the industry’s momentum of providing good stories that will allow imagination to think of new worlds and possibilities.

Bryan Arcangeli - Publisher

Bryan Arcangeli“Creativity is one’s ability to perceive something that no one else has perceived.”

~Bryan

The most amazing thing to me about reading is giving people the ability to perceive things in a way that no one else can. Growing up as an only child in upstate New York in a city that was only a small dot on the map, I was often tasked with creating my own entertainment. Having little money for actual toys, I had to invent my own. If I wanted comic books I had to write my own. My years have led me to this moment where I now have a chance to help others share their visions of creativity with the world at large.

Every person has the ability to imagine their own vision of what each story tells as it unfolds and, in this age of visual stimuli and imagination, wouldn’t it be nice if we all just had a little more creativity in our lives?

Marie Telfair – Managing Editor

Marie Telfair Marie started editing as a means of feeding herself while in-between jobs. Before long she began experiencing a growing attachment to her authors, whose words inspired her and kept her thinking. Now she edits full time and loves every second of it, from the hair-pulling stress of meeting a deadline despite the city-wide power outages following a massive snowstorm, to sharing the joy of publication with her authors and following them down the long marketing road ahead. Marie is living proof that sometimes what makes us happiest turns out to be far different from what we wanted to be when we grew up.

Craig Dunn - Acquisitions Editor

Craig DunnI have been fascinated by the written word for years. I read occasionally as a child and teenager, but truly fell in love with reading while in college. I have spent the last 14 years reading everything I could get my hands on, but mostly fantasy. I love travelling to strange worlds and glory in the battle of good against evil. I am looking forward to this opportunity working with Cool Well Press, their amazing management team, and the authors who look to inspire others in the same way that I have been inspired.
